My son and I love making hand and footprint crafts. He even paints his hand and wants to do it himself! Maybe we do them too much…👀 but who wouldn’t! As you know, we are doing as many activities as we can based on the vegetables we have planted in the garden. Today we did two crafts – carrots and apples! Click here to see the apple craft! Let’s take a look at the carrot craft first. It’s so easy! Artist skills needed – none.
You will need:
- one, cute toddler foot with yummy toes
- orange paint (I mixed red and yellow to make the perfect hue)
- green paint
- two paintbrushes
- paper (8.5×11)
Ready? Let’s make carrots!
1 Use the orange paint or mix your paint colour if you need to. Paint foot. Wait for laughs!
2 Place the painted foot on the sheet of paper, pressing gently with your hand to make the footprint.
3 Repaint foot as needed and make enough prints to cover the paper. You can put the footprints wherever you want on the paper.
4 Add lots of leaves! Use the greet paint to draw strokes coming from the toes. Brush those strokes gently to create a leafy effect.
5 All done!
